The HIDROTEK Reverse Osmosis (RO) Membrane is designed for residential use and meets the following operation specifications:

Note: 1. DO NOT FREEZE. 2. Flush the new membrane for 30 minutes, as there is a protective material inside. 3. For chlorinated water, use a Carbon/Sediment Pre-Filter, as the residual chlorine can damage the membrane. For high hardness, install a water softener before the RO unit.

Lifetime: Typically 24 months for most tap water (200-500 ppm TDS). Replacement frequency depends on usage and feed water quality. For water under 200 ppm TDS, the membrane may last up to 36 months. In hard water areas, replacement may be required every 6-12 months.

High TDS or Hard Water: The membrane can handle up to 2000 ppm TDS, but more frequent replacement (every 12 months or more) is recommended.

Replacement Procedure: 1) Disconnect the tubing, 2) Twist off the housing cap with a wrench, 3) Remove the old membrane, 4) Insert the new membrane, 5) Reattach the housing cap and reconnect the tubing.
