The membrane has a lifespan of 15-24 months, depending on the quality of your feed water. Additionally, the product has a shelf life of 2 years when kept in the original sealed package.

It's important to note that the membrane should not be frozen, and it's recommended to flush the new membrane for 30 minutes to remove any protective materials.

If your water is chlorinated, we advise using a Carbon/Sediment Pre-Filter, as the residual chlorine can damage the membrane. For high-hardness water, we recommend installing a water softener before the RO unit.

The HIDROTEK RO membrane is designed to be highly efficient, rejecting impurities down to 0.0001 micron. It can remove up to 98% of contaminants, including heavy metals, fluoride, calcium, magnesium, lead, colloids, chromium, and nitrates. The product is also NSF/ANSI Standard 58 certified.

The membrane dimensions are 11.75" in overall length and 1.75" in diameter, allowing it to fit standard 2" ID membrane housings. This makes it a universal fit for most residential Reverse Osmosis Systems and water filtration systems.

The wastewater ratio is 1:2, meaning that for every gallon of pure water produced, 2 gallons of wastewater will be generated.

The HIDROTEK RO membrane is a thin-film composite design, providing a higher water production rate while maintaining NSF certification.

For most tap water (200-500 ppm TDS), the recommended replacement frequency is 24 months. However, this can vary depending on the feed water quality. If the water has a very low TDS (200 ppm or less), the membrane may last up to 36 months. In areas with hard water, the membrane may need to be replaced every 6-12 months.

The RO membrane can handle water with TDS up to 2000 ppm, but it's recommended to replace the membrane more frequently (every 12 months or less) if the TDS exceeds 1000 ppm.

This product is designed for residential tap water use and is not suitable for brackish water (5000 ppm) or ocean water (35000 ppm) applications. For those needs, Geekpure can provide specialized RO membranes.

The package includes 2 x 150 GPD RO membranes. Additional components, such as membrane housings, wrenches, and flow restrictors, need to be purchased separately.

The product's water capacity and quality can vary depending on factors like temperature, water pressure, and feed water quality. This is why users may experience lower pure water capacity in the winter compared to the summer.
