Compact 3-Stage RO Filtration System for Hydroponics

The AquaticLife RO Buddie is a 3-stage RO (reverse osmosis) system designed for hydroponic use, producing up to 75 gallons of filtered water. This RO reverse osmosis filter helps remove up to 98% of Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) from the water, providing optimal filtration for your aquatic environment.

The RO membrane filter in this reverse osmosis water filtration system reduces TDS from the water down to a ratio of 1 out of 10,000. The sediment filter captures sand, silt, and other particles that can affect water quality and appearance. Additionally, the carbon block filter eliminates chlorine and conditions the water before it reaches the RO membrane.

For convenient RO water setup, the RO Buddie features several user-friendly components. The included float valve can easily be plumbed into a reservoir, sump, barrel, or bucket by drilling a 7/8 inch hole and mounting the float valve. The Auto Shut-Off Solenoid (ASO) is a mechanical device that works off water pressure, turning off the water supply to stop waste water from flowing, without requiring any electricity.

The 1/4" tubing and press-fit connectors allow for easy plumbing of the RO Buddie. The translucent sediment cartridge housing makes it easy to visually inspect the condition of the filter media. No more guessing what your filter looks like!

For users in the NYC area, it is suggested to use an additional prefilter for RO and RO/DI systems due to information presented in the most recent Water Quality Report. For those on well water, it's important to check for CO2 prior to purchasing the RO Buddie, as CO2 can quickly deplete the DI resin cartridge.

The RO Buddie's carbon cartridge removes chlorine from tap water, but it does not remove chloramines. Users should check with their water company or test their water for chloramines before purchasing.

All models have an ideal supply water requirement of 65 PSI and 77°F, and can be used in a vertical or horizontal orientation. The sediment and carbon filters should be replaced every 1,500 gallons of supply water or every 300 to 400 gallons of filtered water.
